Perfect Golf Swing: A Better Way To Execute An Ideal Golf Swing

perfect golf swingMany golf instructors will tell you it is near to impossible to execute a perfect golf swing, consistently.

Such instructors have been convinced the best way to execute a perfect golf swing each is to apply the muscle memorygolf method.

I sometimes refer to this type of instruction as the “PGA Way.”

The “PGA”  golf swing instruction is to teach a golfer to manipulate the golf swing in some weird way during the golf swing in an attempt to square the clubface to the ball at impact.

This requires a golfer to swing the club in various ways until he or she is able to hit a decent golf shot and then train the muscles to repeat the same swing each time.

The theory is that if the golfer can train his or her muscles to swing the club the same way each time the same ball flight will occur.

Unfortunately, this is not how golf works.

The reason why the muscle memory method is unreliable is that once you move any body part or, set of body parts, after gripping a golf club, the alignment and swing path of your clubface will change.

Then with each subsequent body part movement the alignment and swing path off the clubface will change once again.

By the time the setup proceedings are completed, it is anyone’s guess as to the alignment and swing path of the clubface but, due to typical multiple body movements during the setup proceedings, there is no assurance they will be aligned the same way each time at the completion of the pre-swing routine.

As a result, even if the muscles remember to swing the club the same way each time, the ball flight may be different. This is the very reason why a golfer will slice in one instance and hook the ball in the next  even if the club is swung in the same exact way both times.

However, there is a way to ensure the ball will fly in the same pattern and direction each time if the club is swung in the same manner. It does not  require you to apply any muscle memory.

Better yet, it will allow you to execute the perfect golf swing.

After more than ten years of research and thousands of experiments, I have designed, developed and perfected more than 100 techniques to lock-in a square clubface alignment and an online swing path of the clubface during the pre-swing procedure to establish a perfectly straight-as-an-arrow alignment.

However, establishing and locking-in a straight ball flight alignment during the setup proceedings does not, in and of itself, ensure a perfect golf swing. It merely begins the process.

To execute a perfect golf swing, you must then assume a comfortable stance and posture to your ball, center the sweet spot of your clubface as near as possible to the back of your ball and align your shoulders parallel with your target line.

If you then keep your left heel planted, your head steady and swing the club in a non-manipulative manner, your ball will fly straight to your target, discounting wind conditions and elevation differences between your stance and ball.
